Over the past few years I’ve had the honor of getting to know Angie on more of a personal level. Angie is a hardworking single mom who’s passionate about life and fitness- and more importantly, she’s an over comer. Angie and I believe that healing comes in helping others, and she is called to share her story.

As a child Angie was molested by her uncle. He was killed shortly after “the secret” surfaced and It was the beginning of a life of guilt and repression that led to destructive behavior. Engaging in drugs and alcohol became her normal.. until the point of becoming a full blown alcoholic in 1996. She describes her life as a train wreck, bouncing around in relationships and at one point having an abortion. It wasn’t until hitting rock bottom in 2005 that Angie was freed of her past mistakes and followed the path of Jesus. She hasn’t had alcohol since then and has a beautiful best friend and daughter, Amber. Living free is not always easy, and some days are a real struggle.. only strength through god can keep the path straight.
As a past addict and overcomer, Angie’s advice is solid for those struggling and for those on the other side.
G.I.V.E. Is an acronym for Genuine, Interested, Validate their feelings, and emotionally safe. It’s showing genuine love and support for those struggling and meeting them where they are with compassion and grace.
You are not alone, and know that somebody cares- there is help and more importantly- HOPE❤️
